Choose maneuver
Pick where the AI ship's target sits relative to the AI ship's bow, set the range, then roll. The console tells you which ring and section of the Logic card to read, and reads it for you if you've entered the card.
Target bearing from the AI ship
On a dividing line, use the table the target is facing toward. Target pointing straight at or away from the AI ship: pick a table at random. Call which table is heads, then flip.
Range to target
Formations: every ship in a formation uses the lowest-numbered ID token's target and maneuver. Swerve only for obstacles that can deal damage, not for ships. A red maneuver means the ship skips its Action step.
Choose action
Tick what's true for the AI ship. It takes the first entry on its Logic card's Choose Action list that applies.
- Remove 1 Auxiliary Power Token if you have any.
- Battle Stations, if you have a shot.
- Evasive Maneuvers, if any Enemies are within Range 3.
- Fix Critical Damage.
- Scan, if none of the above apply.
Pick a target
Attack orders: the AI shoots the player ship in the nearest range band. Tied? It picks the ship rolling the fewest total defense dice (count Upgrades, obstructions and the Range 3 bonus). Still tied, players choose.
| Player ship | Range | Total defense dice | Touching AI |
|---|
Resolve an attack
Works both ways round. Set up the shot and hit Fire: the console rolls, rerolls, spends tokens the way the AI rules say (only when it helps), cancels Hits before Crits, then strips shields before hull.
Enemy AI ship
Fills in the AI ship's numbers from its card. Combat Phase on the card: fire Primary Weapon at the nearest target.

Logic cards
Copy each Enemy Logic card in once and Helm reads it for you. The card only prints the right-hand side: left bearings use the matching right-hand section with left and right swapped. Where the card shows several dice faces for one maneuver (say ⚀⚁ 4↑), type that maneuver on each of those rows. Add "(red)" to red maneuvers so Ops knows to skip the action.
